And what do I risk to tell you this, which is all I know?
Love yourself. Then forget it. Then, love the world.-Mary Oliver

What I Offer
I offer individual psychotherapy as a collaborative, attentive space to explore inner life — thoughts, feelings, images, conflicts, and patterns that may not yet have clear language.
I work especially well with people who experience our current world as overwhelming or disorienting, and who feel stuck, burdened, or unsure how to orient themselves within it. Many of the people I work with are in periods of transition — midlife, identity shifts, losses, or moments when old ways of understanding no longer hold.
Clients often come in carrying painful self-doubt, a harsh inner critic, anxiety, depression, grief, or the aftereffects of trauma. Others arrive with a sense that they have something to offer — a sensitivity, intelligence, or depth — but feel uncertain how to live in relation to it.
I hold symptoms not simply as problems to eliminate, but as meaningful expressions asking to be understood in context — personal, relational, and collective.
I have a particular interest in neurodivergence and in how people who experience themselves as “other” — differently wired, unusually sensitive, or out of sync with dominant norms — make sense of their inner lives.
Much of my work involves helping people find language where none yet exists, and creating space for parts of the psyche that have not been well recognized or welcomed.
If you’re interested in beginning therapy, you’re welcome to reach out using the contact form. I’ll respond with information about availability and next steps, and we can decide together whether moving forward makes sense.

How I Work
My work is informed by a feminist and anti-racist orientation that understands psychological suffering as shaped not only by personal history, but by relational, cultural, and systemic forces. I continue to deepen this understanding through my work with clients from diverse backgrounds, and through ongoing study.
I am consistently struck by human resilience — by the intelligence people bring to surviving, adapting, and making meaning after trauma. I understand post-traumatic growth not as a mandate to “find the positive,” but as the slow emergence of wisdom that may allow us to question and revise the stories we have inherited about who we are and how we are meant to live.

Fees and Insurance
My fee ranges from $150–$220 per session. If this fee would be a hardship, we can talk about it. I also accept a number of insurance plans.

About Naomi
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a depth-oriented, relational approach to psychotherapy. I earned my MA in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2012, and my early clinical formation was shaped by Jungian training and supervision, which continues to inform how I listen for meaning, pattern, and image in therapeutic work.
I approach therapy as a collaborative, reflective process that supports clarity, integration, and a steadier relationship with oneself over time—particularly during periods of trauma, loss, or transition. My work is grounded in respect for the intelligence of the psyche and its capacity to respond creatively to difficult life experiences.
My practice is supported by ongoing training and consultation, including recent study in autistic-centered therapy and participation in an existential–humanistic consultation group.
